kate + brian | dumbarton oaks engagement (featured!)

Thanks to UNITED WITH LOVE for featuring some of my work today!
Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown always reminds me of England and The Secret Garden and all things good and lovely, so it made the perfect backdrop for how dear and sweet Kate and Brian are.
Check out the link above to see their shoot, and here...

Beautiful, sweet couple. :-) Love that last shot! What an amazing tree!

Erica C. - September 26, 2011 - 11:41 am

What a beautiful location! Love your in the tree capture with the sun burst. Curious how you were able to take professional pics there. I checked out Dumbarton Oaks’ website which lists wedding photography as prohibited. Perhaps they are referring to wedding parties en masses?

pre-europe previews!

So before I left for the trains and marmalade of the UK, I had quite a few beautiful days to photograph. Haven’t had a chance to finish editing or sharing, (it’s just a bit chaotic on this side of the world) but! I don’t have the patience to not at least share some...

Becca C. - July 1, 2011 - 4:59 am

*Sigh* I am satisfied. None of this “Oh look guys at this uh-mazing picture I took! There are 15 more like it, but I’m not gonna show you for months!” Those leave me in such anguish, Beks :)

wike + ashley! | washington, dc

Once upon a Georgetown summer, there was a wedding with a special claim to awesomeness.
Hard to say exactly why it won so many imaginary life prizes, guess you just had to be there? Could’ve been having a perfect spring-like day in August, or the most enthusiastic of bridal parties, or the reception closing with...

Rebekah, I feel like I know you! And before that scares you, it’s because I keep hearing about you from this person or that person over the years. Today’s latest was that you photographed a friend’s sister’s (Brigette) wedding! It’s exciting to watch you conquer the wedding world back east, and I thought I should officially comment and let you know!

Sarah Danaher - January 12, 2011 - 10:23 pm

Love on a million levels, in a million ways. And Wike’s face is PRICELESS!!

Carrie - January 14, 2011 - 12:57 am

This wedding looks like so much FUN! : )
Love way you captured that. Also, the picture of the light coming through the door tops it all.
way to go chica. : )

a boy and girl and their exceptional furniture

Ozzy and Phil are one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever get to meet.
He clearly goes out of his way to take such sweet care of her, she’ll voice her genuine appreciation and say something in her Ozzy way, (which always makes him laugh) they’ll call each other dear and darling with a tone of...

washington dc engagement | ashley + wike!

More fun people!
Ashley and Wike are one of those awesomely Chill couples who (truly madly deeply) love being with each other and having a good time. They’re ridiculous comfortable together, in fact it’s like they wouldn’t be themselves without the other. When they first met it was hardly love at first sight, but thankfully time...
