lauren + aaron | annapolis + eastern shore wedding!

Ah!

On a rainy gray-ish day like today, getting to look at this wedding again is just the happy I needed.

It was full of brights and bests; the day’s perfect summer light split between the classic formality of the Naval Academy and the casual elegance of a vacation home in the country. Carrie at Fleurish Events...

pretty things | a lace necklace

So pictures are nice and all, but there’s nothing like the feeling of paint drying on your fingers or a few scissor snips giving a different meaning to an everyday thing.
I love painting and crafting and making pretty things, and this year I’m set on making time for it again.
My first project was a necklace...

oh i LOVE this so much! i’ve been wanting a bib style necklace for awhile. i never thought of doilies before. my aunt is an antique dealer and for some reason there are a lot of doilies around. so i’m sure she has some that she’d give me. i think finding the chain would be harder though.

I actually just found the chain + clasps at Michaels/Jo Anns! took a little while to find a good vintage-colored metal, but they had a pretty decent selection.

a boy and girl and a ring worth kissing

They were one of Those couples.

the No-We’re-Not-Dating, We-Just-Go-On-Dates-All-The-Time-And-Have-DTR’s-Every-Two-Weeks kind. Aaron liked her, Lauren didn’t like him, but they got on so well as friends so that’s how they stayed.
I’m sure 50 years from now he’ll still be giving her a hard time for how long she made him wait, but then again you can’t rush...

Beautiful. I especially love the styling from the first part of the session- the aqua and cherry red. It’s just darling. I have a skirt just that shade of blue from a million years ago from the Gap… it might be time for a re-fashioning!

Great job, that first shot… it’s the money shot Bek!

Do you know where on earth she got that dress!?!?! I am completely enamored with it!!!

happy weekending! | Giethoorn

So I’m a parttime failure at blogging, but in between all the engagements and weddings I want to squeeze in another part of what I love. So consider this the first installment of a Friday series I’ve been meaning to start. Not sure exactly what it’ll look like but some conglomeration of travel and fashion,...

I’ve never heard of Giethoorn, but if I had a list of places I want to travel to, it would have just barged in and gotten thrown at the tippy top.

I love this idea, and I am now looking forward to seeing more! :D

Brooke Price - June 25, 2010 - 8:38 am

I just got the Kelly Moore bag from my birthday! I love it.
Looking forward to your new friday blogs!

I’m in *love* with this concept.
Oh, and you can be my personal shopper ANYTIME.

Kristine Neeley - June 28, 2010 - 4:59 pm

Oh my gosh! I just tweeted about that place like… er… a month ago or something when I stumbled upon it online. I determined that if I didn’t come back from Germany, that’s where one might be able to find me :) And the gray KM bag is my fave!
